CLASSIC THEATRE ANNOUNCES REPLACEMENT SHOW
For Immediate Release: The Classic Theatre has announced that it has replaced a show in its 2007-2008
NorthernTel Great Performance Season. The show being replaced, Little Shop of Horrors, which was to be
produced by the theatre’s production wing, has been put off until another season while a new show has been
booked in its place.
The new show is “Outerbridge – Magical Moments in Time” and will be offered at 8:00 pm on January 25 and at
2:00 pm on January 26, 2007. The press in Europe have called Ted & Marion Outerbridge “Champions of magic”!
In Canada, Magical Moments in Time has been hip enough to appear on everything from Mystery Hunters to Much
Music, important enough to make the front pages – from the Guelph Mercury to the National Post, and so
powerful that it has even been performed on the radio – from Country and Western to CBC … no kidding!
In Ted and Marion Outerbridge’s Magical Moments in Time, comedy meets mind-bending illusions, making for a
uniquely bewitching and hilarious evening of entertainment. Ted and Marion Outerbridge don’t just play the
spotlight, they come to life in it – and then share it with audience members, inviting them to experience the
magic up close and on stage. Whether it’s Ted changing places with Marion in a split second, or reading minds
and traveling through time to appear “out of nowhere” in the middle of the audience, Ted and Marion Outerbridge
will hold you spellbound and leave you hungry for more. Magical Moments in Time captures the imagination and
transforms it into wonder.
“The Board of Directors is confident that this show will amaze audiences of all ages,” says Angela Drainville-Ashick,
General Manager of the Classic Theatre, “they feel that this will be a perfect fit for audiences who were looking
forward to Little Shop of Horrors. And, what better Christmas gift to put under the tree this year than the gift
of magic?”
This new addition, will come on the heel of a very busy fall season which has included the likes of Matthew Good and
Trooper, and will immediately follow the upcoming Christmas offerings including Quartette Christmas, with Sylvia Tyson
and Cindy Church and two concerts being given by acclaimed jazz saxophonist Matthew James in early December.
“The new approach being taken by the Board of Directors of the Classic Theatre is very aggressive, but they are hoping
to demonstrate to the community that they are committed to being a venue that brings in the sorts of high-quality
entertainment that Temiskaming is looking for,” says Drainville-Ashick. She notes that the theatre is working hard to
provide patrons with a great experience in a great atmosphere.
Tickets to Outerbridge-Magical Moments in Time are $18 in advance for adults and $12 for students and are available at
the Classic Theatre, by calling the box office at (705) 679-8080 or at Robertson’s Gifts and Variety.
