Opening Safely

The Classic Theatre would like to welcome everyone back! 

The health and safety of our patrons, artists, volunteers and employees is our number one priority. To ensure a safe return to the Theatre, we have put in place Covid-19 guidelines and protocols as mandated by provincial and local health officials. Some of these will include, capacity limits, mask wearing, physical distancing, reserved seating, as well as cleaning & disinfection. We thank you for your co-operation and patience with our re-opening.


As per the provincial Vaccine Policy, all patrons will require proof of vaccination (two doses plus 14 days post second dose) and photo ID to enter the facility. Exemptions apply only to children under the age of 11 and individuals with an exemption (doctor’s note).

How to access your proof of vaccination:

  • Download a copy of your vaccination receipt at 

  • Bring a digital or printed copy of your receipt to the event.

  • Upon arrival to the Classic Theatre, be prepared to show your receipt along with a piece of government issued photo ID. 

Please have your proof of vaccination easily accessible for quick and easy entry to the Theatre.


All patrons must complete a self-screening assessment prior to entering the Classic Theatre that has been developed in accordance with recommendations and instructions issued by the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health and mandated from Local Public Health. Anyone experiencing any of these symptoms should refrain from coming to the Theatre and stay home to self monitor.  


All visitors and patrons are required to wear a mask or face covering upon entering and remaining within Classic Theatre Cobalt. In spaces not accessible to the public, masks are required when it may be challenging to maintain a distance of 2 meters from others. The mask or face covering must cover the nose, mouth and chin. Masks must be in contact with the surrounding face without gapping.
