THROAT SINGING with the JERRY CANS

Hear some amazing stories from the road and learn the tricks of the trade with demonstrations of this unique singing technique!
The Jerry Cans create music inspired by their hometown of Iqaluit, Nunavut, and life in the Canadian Arctic. With a unique mix of traditional Inuit throat singing and roots-rock sung in the Indigenous language of Inuktitut, The Jerry Cans are a distinctly Northern sound. The band is passionate about helping to preserve the Inuktitut language and are committed to challenging common misconceptions about life in the North. Their high energy performances have thrilled audiences in countries all across the globe including Australia, Scotland, Greenland, Cuba and Norway.

So… You want to entertain your friends with some miracles of the mind? Here is a unique opportunity to learn from one of the top magicians in the business.
As part of his scheduled presentation at the Classic Theatre Cobalt on March 30, MIRACULUM: Sleight Of Mind, Lawrence Larouche will be presenting a separate secret workshop where you will learn several magical routines that will have your friends and family scratching their heads with astonishment. That's right… Lawrence will be tipping the hat to reveal some of his secret techniques used to perform fabulous card tricks, mind reading demonstrations, predictions and more. Come sign up before it too late!
Remember to bring a deck of cards with you! All other materials will be provided at the venue.

ABSTRACT ACRYLIC PAINTING TECHNIQUE

Beginners to experts can enjoy this small group hands on 2 hour painting workshop led by Cal Knight. You will explore acrylic materials and be guided through his "raised dot" technique while producing your own unique 8" x 10" artwork. All art supplies are provided. No prior experience is necessary. Wear comfortable painting clothes Cash concession will be open. (no alcohol)
